Dr. Gary Nance

Dr. Nance completed his undergraduate studies at Oklahoma Christian College.  He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1977.  After graduation, Dr. Nance was associated with Dr. Bill Watson for three years in a Memphis-based private practice.  In 1980, he moved his practice to Pearle Vision Center and later became a Pearle Vision Center franchise owner in 1983.  In February 1993, Dr. Nance merged his practice with Drs. Tacker and Knudson.

Dr. Nance is a member of the West Tennessee Optometric Society, Tennessee Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.  He and his wife Wanda have two children, Amy and Blake.

“I was very impressed with the care and service that I received at The Optometry Group during my visit on Saturday. Everyone I met was kind, professional, and efficient. The young lady who administered the initial exams on the various machines was very patient and explained each step of the process. As always, Dr. Nance was kind and pleasant, and I never felt that I was being rushed through the exam. That was also the case when I went to choose frames, as I was allowed plenty of time to make just the right choice.” -T. J.
